Ragball: Ones Man's Trash is Another Kid's Future - Ethan Zohn, 26 March 2010

Traveling around the globe, I have come into contact with some pretty amazing young people trying to make it big in their communities. There was a kid in Zambia who was charging people to play his video game on a vintage Atari, yes I said Atari. I have encountered hand-made leather belt crafters in Argentina, window washers in London, beaded jewelry makers in Kenya and paper kite artists in Malaysia. And I can’t ignore the dedicated up-and-coming rap stars hawking their music right here in New York City. The creativity and passion for success seen in all these young entrepreneurs amazes me. The drive to create a sustainable business out of very limited resources is truly inspiring.

Ragball International’s Lunga Sidzumo Wins Mac Aids Fellowship - 1 March 2010

As a young leader in the fight against HIV and AIDS, Grassroot Soccer South Africa Coach Lunga Sidzumo, from Khayelitsha, was recently awarded a prestigious MAC AIDS Leadership Initiative Fellowship.Through a year-long training and development program, the fellowship supports leaders who have made significant contributions to reducing the spread and impact of HIV and AIDS.

“It is my goal to use my experience in the MAC AIDS Leadership Initiative to further promote HIV education and gender awareness in my community,” says Lunga, whose work as a MAC AIDS Fellow will focus on continued delivery of the Skillz curriculum in schools and at the Khayelitsha Football For Hope Centre

RagBall International’s Official Launch Party - 9 October 2009

Ragball International was unveiled at the 2009 Corporate Council on Africa’s U.S. – Africa Business Summit in Washington, DC, September 29-October 2009. Co-founders Ian Oliver and Sean Hinkle presented the new Ragball video to an audience of 1,500 including African heads of state, U.S. and African business men and women, and government leaders from both sides of the Atlantic. Each of the dignitaries were presented with their own Ragball as a gift! This event was been made possible by Corporate Council on Africa and South African Airways.
